Snow Growth (Butler Field)
Over the course of two days, using a set of handmade molds and tools, I hopped through Chicago’s Butler Field, creating a series of snow sculptures. These large snow cones transformed the field from its barren state into a place for play and curiosity. Prior to my installation there were four footpaths carved through the snow and afterwards there were over forty. An artist book and large scale photograph are the permanent evidence of this project.
